rockin' for a cure - pg 1 navigate
Rockin' For A Cure is the dream of Steve Weekes, who came up with the idea while in the waiting room of an ALS clinic with his brother John, and sister, Monica. Shortly after his diagnosis, Steve began work on the project and enlisted the help of long-time friends from Wall of Sound and the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. Steve played drums with Wall of Sound for several years, and it seemed to make sense for the band to perform at the ALS Benefit. The band will make their fifth appearance this year at the ALS Benefit. Steve Weekes continues to battle ALS to this day. We use the ALS Benefit to raise awareness about ALS and to show our solidarity with Steve Weekes and others with ALS. |
